Its everything they say it is. We loved it! Its light and spongy and sweet. Quick and simple to make, and also dishwasher safe. If you have special dietary needs you cant go wrong with this one :)

This is about the easiest thing possible to make - add water, shake, microwave for a minute, eat. When you want to have something fresh and warm and nothing else is around, this is wonderful to have in the cupboard.
The texture is more like angel food cake than corn bread, and it doesn't have nearly the intensity of flavor that real corn bread has, but if you treat it on its own merits without comparing it to other corn breads, it's quite tasty.
Pretty good corn bread and it does not get easier than this December 29, 2007

I tend to stay away from mixes in general so I can't say this has the quality of the real thing, but given my low expectations for corn bread made in a microwave oven, the Food-tek corn bread definitely surprised me and tasted pretty yummy. My daughter -who can actually have as much gluten as she wants- raves about it and loves that she can just pop a serving in the microwave and take it to school for lunch without any further preparation.
